Introduction
Evaluation of job performance among employees helps the leaders make informed
decisions regarding employee work schedules, compensation and motivation programs, training
programs, and other employee management approaches. This report details the strengths and
weaknesses of the new employee performance evaluation system, the utility, reactions to 360-
degrees feedback, and citizenship behavior.
Question One
Groen, Wouters, & Wilderom (2017) argue that organizational leaders effectively
transform organizational strategies to action by engaging effective and suitable operational
performance metrics. These authors also reason that developing high-quality systems that
provide employee feedback concerning job performance is challenging. It requires context
specificity to benefit organizational leaders and employees (Groen, Wouters, & Wilderom,
2017). In this light, Accenture’s new system’s strengths leveraged context specificity since it was
personalized to individual employees with specific voice recognition features working on mobile
devices. This advantage helped the leaders get feedback from every employee due to the
mobility of the new system. Furthermore, the system facilitated immediate feedback and
collaboration among coworkers improving objective accomplishment competencies. The
system’s strengths also leverage the ease of applicability for both employees and managers,
reflecting on the improved motivation and reduced resistance to change among employees.
However, the system had several weaknesses, including system traffic and lagging due to over-
application among employees. Furthermore, it limits independence in objective accomplishment
when employees become overly dependent on feedback from coworkers.
