DISCUSSION 2
Information about “CASE tool
CASE Computer-aided software engineering tools are a collection of software business
applications that automate Verification and validation responsibilities”. Technology project
managers, engineers and analysts design software, use CASE technologies. To simplify various
stages of the Software Development Life Cycle” Case tools are available, including Database
Management tools, Project management and Analysis tools, Design tools, and Documentation
tools. The use of CASE tools speeds up development process of projects that help in the
innovation of defects before going onto another phase of software development. A central
database is required for CASE tools to function as a resource of shared, consistent and integrated
data. A central repository is a storage location for product details, regulatory pressures, relevant
material and schematics, and other information related to management. In the centralized
database, the data dictionary is act as a house. These tools “Lower CASE tools and Upper CASE
tools are categorized into two types.(Oliveira, Murta et al. 2005) The “upper case tools” are
focused on the early stages of system innovation, such as design, goal-setting, and targets. The
necessary data is collected and displayed in an ordered manner using Upper CASE tools. Lower
CASE devices focus on later phases of system development, such as planning, coding, testing for
flaws and features, software implementation, administration, and maintenance. (Äärelä, Määttä
et al. 2018)
1. Features of tools
The tools that used in this project is quite reliable and well functional. CASE tools are
used.(Oliveira, Murta et al. 2005) The advantages of CASE include that it involves the client in
the development process, guaranteeing that the item meets requirements. The expense of
maintaining anything can be decreased over its lifespan if more focus is placed on monitoring
