1. What are four reasons an organization’s actions may be viewed as ethically troubling?
The four reasons why organizations actions are viewed as ethically troubling are
management setting higher standards, policies that are not transparent, money along with
unethical culture.
2. Ethically, how could you justify ignoring the fact that there is a conflict between your
convictions and the actions of the company you work for?
Through creating the argument based on the responsibility, you have for providing to
your family. If the job is the best an individual may get, therefore, an argument based on
the reality that the duty to provide for the family is superior than the duty to be truthful to
yourself. In this particular case, working in an ethically problematic state may be
justified.
3. Why might a potential employee of an ethically troubling organization ask how
seriously wrong the organization’s actions are?
The potential employee may ask his or her manager how wrong the actions of
organization are.
