Changes in the competitive environment and contemporary organizations open new research
areas as they present different problems. Organizational behavior is a critical firm segment
impacted by the modern competitive firm environment. Therefore, the literature review focuses
on vital aspects of organizational behavior such as organizational behavior evolution or history,
the importance of organizational behavior, its impacts, and limitation. Additionally, the review
covers organizational behavior theories such as cognitive theory, behaviorist theory, and social
learning theory. The study uses qualitative research methods to explore how management
evolution has affected organizational behavior. It uses social learning framework to respond to
preliminary review issues adequately. It is also important to note that the review uses published
resources within the last five years, with most of the journals within the last three years. The
resources are also from peer-reviewed journals.
