The world has been stricken by the Covid-19 Pandemic. The business sector been

adversely affected. Businesses have closed due to the strict guidelines set by governments

and the World Health Organization, WHO. For example, the expos, conferences, sporting

events, and other large gatherings as well as cultural establishments such as galleries and

museums have been abruptly called off. Hotels have been shut down in order to cater for the

social distancing rules bearing in mind that the tourism field plays a major role in the

development of the economy. Therefore, their closure leads to unemployment of many people

hence no income generated. In the hospitality and entertainment industry, all the restaurants

are restricted to only offer take away services thus there is little or no income generated since

many will prefer to eat at their homes.

Today, closure of very many businesses has been inevitable, resulting to disruption

of commerce. For instance, online shopping and entertainment are experiencing

unprecedented growth; thereby resulting to thriving of online businesses. Consequently, there

is stress on job markets and infrastructure; countries have adopted different approaches to

handle it. Covid-19 has greatly affected the consumer behavior. Around the globe, societies

are in lockdown, and citizens are asked to respect social distance and stay at home. As we are

social beings, isolation may be harmful for us. The pandemic has greatly caused bankruptcy

for many well-known brands in many industries as consumers stay at home and economies

are shut down. As a result, some governments are supporting businesses to assist in feeding

the workforce.
