EFFECTS OF SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT 2
2. Discuss how social environment contributes to the worldwide DALYs for
childhood malnutrition and poor water quality.
The total of years of life lost due to early deaths from that condition and years of good
health lost due to incapacity for individuals living in less health as a consequence of that
condition is calculated as DALYs for that cause ( Cuschieri & Wyper, 2020). The social
environment encompasses all connections, organizations, traditions, and physical structures that
are influenced in certain ways by humans. Malnutrition is a significant public health issue,
particularly in underdeveloped nations. Sanitation, hygiene, sanitation, and water supply are
critical for avoiding malnutrition because of their direct impact on infectious diseases,
particularly diarrhea ( Waddington & Cairncross, 2021). Lifestyle, solitude, seclusion,
relationship status, social class, socio-economic status, and residence site are all social factors

potassium, causing skin itching. Disability-adjusted life years are the most common cause of
early malnutrition. When clean water is scarce, people may be unable to drink, clean, or do crop
farming, resulting in economic collapse ( Cunningham, 2017). Furthermore, poor sanitation, an
