My research topic is the issue of fashion diversity in modern society. For any specific brand, its

diversity of design is always a much-talked-about topic. Diversity also has a great significance in

people's lives today. It seems that more and more brands are hiring racially diverse runway

models. However, after researching online, I notice that the main focus of fashion diversity

should not be on runway models, nor those articles that advocate anti-racism. We should pay

attention to the effort that a designing team has put into their design as people come from

different areas and are influenced by their different experiences, which bring other ideas in

creating new products. Both of the Balenciaga 2020 fashion shows significantly showed a

further step towards the diversity of Fashion and eembracing diversity at multi-levels.

Cristobal Balenciaga was one of the most popular fashion designers and artists during

World War II and the early postwar period. He created women's garments with an extreme

mixture of simplicity, minimalism, and drama in powerful colors and dynamic shapes. Cristobal

Balenciaga's clothes were so beautiful and elegant they are also very skillfully designed that

women did not need to have a perfect body to wear them. They moved with the body and were

comfortable and fashionable; his style was already very divisible. Time flies back to 2020, and

designer Demna Gvasalia designed and directed both the Spring & Summer and Fall & Winter

show of Balenciaga. Demna Gvasalia state that: "Fashion to me is a mirror, a reflection of what's

going on around us. This is manifested in the collections. Daily life is what speaks to people,

everyday life. They are Balenciaga archives transposed from the 1950s to today, adapted to
