Throughout before readings the report, I had the general knowledge that fatal injuries occur across the majority of the workplaces hence the reason for having safety and prevention departments. From the report, one of the things I have found interesting and at the same time educational is the number of fatal injuries based on the status of the employees from 2003-2015. A high number of employees have died from occupational injuries, and the numbers have increased as the years go by, more so the selfemployed ones. It is interesting because I believe as the year goes by due to increased technology and education, employers take more precautions to reduce such cases.
