Choose ONLY ONE of the two following prompts and respond to them in 200-250 words: 1. Think about an organization you are familiar with that uses both human relations and human resources principles in its management and communication practices. Describe these practices and discuss the impact of these practices on organizational outcomes (whatever those might be for your organization). Does one approach seem to work better than the other? How would you summarize the "up side" and the "down side" of human relations and human resources management? After carefully watching the movie, write a scholarly paper based on instructions below. You may have to view the movie more than once in order to complete a critical analysis. Plot (basic situation, conflicts, climax, and resolution 2. Characters (protagonists/antagonists, dynamic/static) 3. Theme 4. Point of view 5. Setting 6. Symbolism (deeper meaning) Part II: Express your perspective of the movie. Has your thinking about relating to individuals from other cultures changed in any way? Did watching the movie leave any lasting impressions with you? Did you identify any trans-cultural concepts, behaviors or practices in the movie which have been presented in class?Part III: Compare and contrast two characters of differing cultures in the movie. How were they similar? How were they different? Part IV: Summarize your discussion, including lessons learned, with examples, from viewing the movie.

Choose one of the calligraphic styles and find an object online that incorporates that style. Make sure you post a picture of the object and identify it. Identification means title of the piece, date when it was created, place and medium. This can be a folio (page) of a manuscript, a piece of architecture, and or a vessel. Select one of these styles only, Kufic, Thuluth, Nasta'liq, Muhaqqaq. Refer to the section on Books in Islam in the module.Part of your grade is the correct identification of the calligraphic style.
