ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF FREE
HEALTH CARE :
Free health care : In most of the countries ,Government provides
services to their citizens.This is to provide attention on public health
care.Many people argued that its a human right to get the free health
services from government,but it is with many pros and cons.
Advantages of free health care :
1. Lowers the cost of universal health care:By this Government can
leverage the size of medical market to negotiate better pricing .GDP goes
down.
2. Reduces administrative cost:It can reduce the administrative costs for
care access. This can help us to deal with only one agency to bill than
dealing with multiple agencies.
3. Simplifies the rules process:It simplifies the rules process by
approving services before any treatment or tests to be done to the patient .
4. Removes competition:It can reduce the competition as the goal of any
for profit business is to make money.If health care is put free ,their will
be focus on patients health.
5. Creates healthier workforce:Most of the patients are sent to
emergency room for medical services.This is because an emergency room
is obligated by law to care for people.when people can be proactive about
their health,the need for emergency interventions decreases.
6. Helps children health: This helps in children to get good health
which builds foundation for future success.Free health care helps in many
kids not to involve in facing any chronic diseases in future.
7. Helps poor or middle class people:It helps many of the poor and
middle class people of not getting any medical service and do not touch
their emergency funds for the family.
Disadvantages of free health care :
1. people may pay to services which they do not receive:In a system of
universal health care, wealthy people must /are asked to pay for poor and
