The history of humankind has been rewritten through assorted scientific breakthrough.
However, the discovery of penicillin is the most momentous scientific breakthrough in the health
sector in the 19

century.
Fleming discovered penicillin inexplicably from unhygienic mold and fungi. Today,
penicillin treats acute illnesses and is used to destroy harmful bacteria in the human body.
Additionally, Penicillin is used in the manufacture of other medicines such as Aspirin, thereby
advancing the medicine industry (Alderson & Rowland, 1989).
Conclusively, the invention of Penicillin, as a medicine and constituent of other
medicines, improved human health and healthcare industry respectively.
