What is Entity Type?
Entity type is basically a collection of entities that have the similar attributes.
Or
A set of entities that have the same attributes is called an Entity type. Entity type is a table.
Each entity type in the database is described by a name and a list of attributes. For example an entity
employee is an entity type that has Name, Age and Salary attributes.
What is Weak Entity Type?
In RDBMS, Weak Entity is an entity that cannot be uniquely identified by its attributes alone
therefore; it must use a foreign key in conjunction with its attributes to create a primary key. The
foreign key is typically a primary key of an entity it is related to. Weak entities are also called as
dependent entities since its existence depends on another entity.
