The Effect of Online Learning on Communication between the Teachers
and Students during Covid-19 Pandemic. The COVID19 pandemic has brought
so much fear to the people, especially to the students. Teachers face significant
challenges in adapting to online learning, and maintaining at least a minimum
of communication with students and supporting teachers learning development.
The global lockdown of education institutions caused interruption in students
learning. This study aimed to know the effect of online learning to the
communication between the teachers and students during Covid-19 pandemic.
The questionnaire was valid and reliable and enough to answer and give analysis
of the study and the students who served as respondents answered the
questionnaire honestly and in good condition. This study used a descriptive
design with a survey questionnaire as the main tool of gathering data in knowing
the effect of online learning on the communication between the students and
teachers during the covid-19 pandemic. Based on the data gathered many of
the respondents are slightly agree that there are negative effects of online class
on the communication between them and their teachers; many of them agree
that online learning/virtual learning has more negative effects on the
participation of the students in the classes; however, despite the struggles they
experience in online classes, still most of the respondents have an average in
mind that online teaching could help them grow in their career development.
Effective communication in online education begins with an understanding of
human communication and the differences between teaching in a face-to-face
