Summary
The education program was founded purposefully to review education system of the
Unite State. It put a lot of emphasis on accountability on how kids are taught in schools as a road
map towards achieving its intended purpose. The program also proposed the closure of public
national schools that did not meet the set performance standards. Despite all these policies put in
place the Act had complications in achieving its objectives. This led to its potential replacement
in 2015 by the Obama’s ESSA Education program. The research study aims to evaluate the
effectiveness of the Education program in improving the education system of the national public
schools. The study also evaluates the contribution of the education program in facilitating the
attempts of teachers, students, and school in meeting the high test standards. Rigorous research
design based on the experimental design will be employed by the essay to evaluate the program.
Two experimental designs will be used in the evaluation process.
Quantitative results obtained from the existing literature data show that 65% of students
in public schools scored poorly in mathematics and readings despite the measures implemented
by the program to improve the performance of the two areas of the curriculum. Failure by over
65% of students in public schools to score above average on the two subject implies that the
accountability principle imposed by the program had no impact on the performance of both
mathematic and reading proficiency. The presence of large gap low-income earners and high-
income earners had a contribution to the dismal performance which in turns impacted negatively
effectiveness of the Education program in addressing low performance.
