Some of the policies which produce unacceptable unintended consequences for the society are;
Disparate treatment for political elites. The likes of Noelle Bush, who should have served a
possible five years sentence incarceration, was sentenced to a treatment center where she stole
drugs and only got three days in jail.
Dan Burton, arrested for growing marijuana and possessing a shotgun, should have been
sentenced to a minimum federal sentence of 8 years; instead, he was given community service,
probation, and a house arrest.
Cindy McCain, who stole Percocet and Vicodin, should have served one year in prison, but
instead, she did not face criminal prosecution.
Another policy is drug laws disproportionately impact minorities. Even though the number of
blacks using illicit drugs is lower than the other races (excluding Asians) that are 13% of all
users are Blacks, but 38% of the arrestees are Black, 59% of those prosecuted are Blacks, and
75% of those incarcerated of the drug offenses are Black. These are due to law enforcement
targeting the inner city. Blacks are like to use drugs in open spaces; most drug offenders are poor
and only relies on the public defenders.

CRACK policy (Children Requiring a Caring Kommunity) it does pay $200 to drug users to be
permanently sterilized in both male and female. With a notion of ‘do not let pregnancy get in the
way of your habit.’
The denial of welfare/student aid. This policy disproportionately affects poor and minority
groups.
Part 2
Theory Y accurately characterizes human behavior in organizations as employees find work to
be with a complimentary view. They are always hardworking, creative, and very responsible and
can take care of themselves since management takes care of the significant factors like money,
material, and to put in place organizational conditions and methods of operations for the
employees to work and direct their efforts towards the objectives put in place by the
organization.
Employees are naturally motivated and have the development abilities, capable of taking up
responsibilities and the readiness to work towards the organization's goals.
The Y theory facilitates the subordinates' participation in the leadership system by naturing the
employees; this helps to enhance responsibility and more commitments to the organizational
goals. However, the leadership here should encourage upward communication flow.
