Virtual Team Activity Personal Reflection

Introduction of the team’s activity

The activity involved ranking of fifteen items in their order of importance. I together with

my team chose to engage in a collaboration session on the blackboard. We held an interactive

session to analyze each item and identify its significance concerning the activity. Moreover, we

went through all the items and we tried to understand why they are important. The team paid

attention on how the suggested items were going to help us survive. We also ranked them.

Understanding the significance of each time in the list would be critical to the mission of getting

saved. Therefore, we had to engage in critical analysis of every item. Every member listed the

most important item and offered explanations for the choice. Thereafter, we discussed each

member's proposal critically to justify the choice.

The process was well managed and timely. We managed to complete the exercise within

the time we had expected. Although there was a lot to deliberate on still, the collaboration of the

team members made it possible to accomplish the task effectively. Time management is an

important factor in teamwork, every member had enough time to present and argue their views

during the session. The team was manageable, besides, there was effective communication

within the members. Any criticism, argument, and counterargument were done positively. We

were so cohesive in our argument and had a proper understanding of every member's ability.

One of the most important factors that facilitated success in our deliberation was good virtual

leadership, cohesion, and collaboration.

One of our greatest challenges was the ranking of some items. The team members had a

problem with identifying the significance of some of the items within the list. Although each
