Of note. My main area of work is Mental Health & Psychosocial Care. However my
intended area of prescribing practice is Substance misuse. Statement in support of
application, please provide a short supporting statement that outlines why you should
be considered for entry on to the Non-Medical Prescribing programme.
This must include short descriptions addressing these three points:
1. Your intended area of prescribing practice.
2. The reasons why you wish to undertake non-medical prescribing, giving
information regarding how prescribing will facilitate your practice development
and enhanced patient care.
3. How Independent prescribing will help improve this practice
4. Demonstrate how you ensure that you remain up to date in clinical,
pharmacological and pharmaceutical knowledge relevant to your clinical area
and how you take responsibility for your own CPD
