DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM
A. Program Need: Reason for being
i. Statement of need:
Gold Cross has two main resources that employees may utilize if a traumatic event
occurs. The first resource is a debriefing meeting about the event where members of
the team talk about the event. They discuss the entire event, how well it went, what
could be improved upon and how that makes individuals of the team feel. Secondly, the
services of counselors and therapists are utilized for Debriefing protocol following
traumatic events while on duty.
