He has an idea or a new software product, however, on which he works whenever he has time and which he hopes will be more profitable than designing Web pages. After six months, Mary and Paul come to work in the business to help develop John's idea. John continues to pay the rent and other expenses, including salaries for Mary and Paul. John does not expect to make a profit at least until the software is developed, which could be months, and there may be very little profit if the product is not marketed successfully. John believes that if the product is successful, however, the company will be able to follow up with other products. John would like to retain overall control of the business but needs to find a way to tie the salaries of Mary and Paul to the success of the business, and needs to raise capital to implement his business plan. He also wants to limit his personal liability if the business fails.Post one important consideration in choosing a form of business organization for this firm that will best allow it to meet John's objectives. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this option? Suggest a written document that John should develop to reduce future liability and problems of the new business. Descriptive statistics provide you with a picture of your data while inferential statistics (which we will discuss in subsequent assessments) allow you to draw conclusions about relationships between variables or differences between groups. A solid understanding of descriptive statistics is foundational to grasping the concepts presented in inferential statistics. This assessment measures your understanding of key elements of descriptive statistics. Your first IBM SPSS assessment includes two sections in which you will do the following: Create two histograms. Calculate measures of central tendency and dispersion. This will give you some experience with the data set. Key Details and Instructions Refer to the IBM SPSS Step-by-Step Guide: Histograms and Descriptive Statistics [PDF] and to the Copy/Export Output Instructions [PDF] for additional help in completing this assessment. As you work on this assessment, you may find the Data Set Instructions [PDF] helpful. The grades.sav file is a sample SPSS data set. The data represent a teacher's recording of student demographics and performance on quizzes and a final exam. Barbara schedules a meeting with a core group of clinic managers. The purpose of the meeting is to review the strategic plan and to gather additional feedback from the managers. Barbara is aware of the importance of diversity within the organization. Diversity and inclusion is particularly important because of the population served by UCCO facilities. However, she realizes during the meeting that there may be some issues with diversity and culture. Furthermore, how diversity and culture impact team performance. Several managers made comments regarding distribution of work and employee perspectives based on stereotypes. She also found out that there are many personality conflicts and issues with subordination.
