ASSESSING THE QUALITY OF SERVICE AND PRODUCTS
Both organizations have a different nature of work. University of Utah hospital is a
medical service provider while Pizza Hutt is a fast food and beverages service
provider working on a franchise model. Based upon the different nature of work of
the both organizations and upon the meaning and importance of quality for their
respective customers, both the organizations have different quality assurance
mechanisms and both of them look after their quality issues in a different manner. I
thoroughly probed both the organizations on how they assess their quality and had the
following findings in this regard:
University of Utah Hospital
After a thorough literature search and
personal observation of the quality
management system of the University
of Utah hospital on site, I found out that
they assess the quality of their services
by a special emphasis on the following
criteria:
Pizza Hutt
Pizza Hutt is a food chain providing
delivery, take away and dine in services
of fast food products. Their core product
is Pizza and there is a variety of adjuncts
available with the pizza
