Overview: The purpose of the final project is to give the student the opportunity to demonstrate competence with
integrating the, concepts, and skills gained in the course. The student will use the Internet to research a topic, create
a report using Word, include a chart using Excel, and create a presentation using PowerPoint. The final project is on
a pleasant topic about dogs or cats or honeybees.

Use several different sources.
Must cite at least three sources.

Create your report using Word, four or
five paragraphs (maximum two pages +
cover/title)
• Times New Roman, 12pt
• Double-space
• One inch margins
• Footer (page #, name, class)
Cite your three (3) sources. You may use inline
citations. Only use footnotes if you know proper
MLA footnote format.

Create a chart that describes some
aspect of your topic using Excel
A column, bar or pie chart - paste chart into your
Word document.

Create a PowerPoint presentation of
your topic (3-6 slides)
• A graphic on most slides
• Include a design
• Footer/header (name, date,
class)
Use graphics and no more than one animation.
Use speaker notes.
No footer on title slide.

Attach your Word document and the PowerPoint slides to the assignment. Project is due December 21st.
