The virus caused infections in more than 214 countries and caused around 18,000 deaths worldwide. Step 2: The ultimate goal of public health organizations was to eliminate the virus. Factors contributing to the swine flu pandemic are: the growing population and our globalized transportation system. Step 3: The cause of the influenza may be due to our globalized transportation system. Main priority was to treat and contain H1N1 Influenza.
