Re:
Won’t you please consider the attached documentation, memo from her previous
school, IEP’s past and present along with request that was sent to Onondaga County
and an excerpt from the foster care manual? We are advocating for the special
boarding rate and for Lily to attend a summer program while we work. Because of her
chronological age Onondaga County requires documentation every six months from her
psychologist to include:
1) Diagnosis
2) Specific needs
A) More active personal involvement occupying additional time relative to a
foster child who is not significantly delayed
B) Requires patients and ability to provide attention and affection without
expecting anything in return
C) Requires supervision to keep her and others around her safe
Your time and consideration is greatly appreciated as we as a family provide for Lily like one of our family.
At home she requires a lot of management as her self-care and ability to manage her emotions are that of
someone much younger than her age.
