Forecasting Organizational Change
As BANKS Industries continues its international expansion to seek business
opportunities and competitive advantage, the organization will take on a considerate amount
of workforce changes. These changes primarily include changes in employee demographics
and benefits, each affecting the organization’s operations. Along with the change, a call for
significant changes in human resource policies ensure the organization’s efficiency.
Additionally, the organization must implement a change management plan to ensure the
changes are adequately communicated throughout the organization.
Workforce Changes
Organizations seeking globalization do so for many reasons. BANKS Industries’
business strategy calls for and supports further globalization as it sustains a competitive
advantage, offers more growth opportunities, and furthers contingency plans through an
interdependency of multiple economies rather than one that constantly fluctuates. While
seeming beneficial for BANKS Industries, tensions are proven to be derived from
globalization while seeking compatibility with domestic social and political stability (Rodrik,
1998). Rodrik (1998) explains the political indifferences and economic sanctions are difficult
barriers to overcome for some nations as some even have very different sets of values, norms,
institutions, and collective preferences begin to compete head on in markets for similar goods.
Changes in the workplace will ensue for operations locally and internationally through
workforce demographics, new challenges, and benefits.
Workforce Demographics
As the organization continues to seek further opportunities into the global market, the
demographics of its workforce will certainly change. The future of BANKS Industries’
