There is Only One Best Way to Manage
Introduction
Some individuals may have the perception that there is the best way to manage an
organization. However, it may not be true that there is only one best way to manage. When
viewed based on the weakness of the contingency theory which is an approach to management
which holds that the apt method of organizing is dependent on the nature of the task or even the
environment that the manager is addressing (Todnem 2005). The implication is that a
contingency theorist may argue that no management approach can be referred to as the best way
of organizing. The success of any management approach is dependent on the circumstances in
which it is employed. Thus, there cannot be only one best way of managing an organization.

approach regarding management of an organization is dependent on the variation of the critical
environment as well as the internal contingencies (Gruber 2007). Therefore, managers may not
