This paper will conduct a brief strategic analysis for Saudi Aramco (SA) which is one of the
leading Saudi public trading companies operating globally. The paper will focus on evaluating
the micro and macro environmental forces influencing the organizational operations including a
SWOT analysis. Also, the paper will assess the external environment of SA by performing a
PESTLE analysis. Saudi Aramco enjoys global presence and is operating in the energy markets
of Europe, Asia, and North America. For the purpose of analysis, the report will focus on Asian
market by selecting China to study the external environment for the company. The report will
have three major sections, including company overview, SWOT, and PESTLE. The report will
conclude with recommendations on how the company can overcome its strategic challenges.
Company Overview
Saudi Aramco (SA) is viewed as a standout amongst the most significant organizations in the
world with an expected valuation of between $2 trillion to $8 trillion in 2017 (Gregory, 2017). It
claims the vast majority of the unrefined petroleum saves in Saudi Arabia and some other global
regions and runs the biggest hydrocarbon conveyance organize in the world. The foundation of
Saudi Aramco was laid down in 1933 when the Saudi government wanted to build an
