Long-Term and Short-Term Plans
Introduction
Career advancement and corporate ladders for leadership in the corporate world are only
possible through consistency and learning to constantly be at a level of improvement and
betterment (Niehaus & O’Meara, 2015). To achieve my career goals, it is necessary to build up
short term goals that will add up to long term goals and achievement of my dreams in my career
progression. Goals of advancement, however, can only be achieved by understanding one’s
strengths, weaknesses, threats that may be posed as dangers and the opportunities that are present
in the environment.
Long-term professional objectives
My five-year professional objective is to have joined Google Company as a junior
business manager dealing with operations that deal with products delivered to the market by the
company. Being a business manager at Google Company will then pave way for my career
progression either in the Company or in other companies that I will work for in the future. The
reasons why I have Google as my objective is due to the continuous business processes that the
company involves itself in, hence creating a constant process of production of both its current
and new products to the market.
Long-term financial objectives
In my five-year financial objective, I would also like to be worth one million United
States dollars. The net worth will be accrued from successful businesses and organizations
established and employment in other companies as a business strategic manager. The five-year
financial objective however not only geared towards the monetary value but also a channel
