Leadership Analysis
Introduction
Leadership skills are what makes leaders stand out and be different in all the things that
they do. The leadership skills that leaders embrace all are dependent on their way of leadership
which is determined by the way they view their leadership positions and how they choose to
implement their ideologies. Leadership characteristics are therefore not only dependent on the
individual but also life experiences. Leadership criteria are therefore developed gradually, and it
is never at a maximum as each and every leader is different and unique in their own given way.
The theory that I chose for developing the interview questions was the transformational
leadership theory.
Data from leadership interviews and supporting leadership theory
The transformational theory is efficient as it can be applied in any management level.
Transformational leadership theory is dependent on four factors which include the inspirational
motivation of the leaders, individualized consideration of the leaders, idealized influence and
intellectual stimulation. The leadership theory encompasses different other leadership styles and
therefore can be considered to be more superior than other theories of leadership that are
currently in use (McCleskey, 2014). The theory holds that for true leadership, charisma alone
cannot be sufficient and therefore all other dependent factors must be put into consideration for
any management process.
Inspirational motivation in the transformational theory holds that the leaders employing
this type of theory need to be visionary while promoting both the mission and the values of the
organization to all the stakeholders of the organization. Through inspirational motivation,
transformational leaders know what they actually want from each and every interaction that they
