Abstract
This research paper explores the issue on childhood trauma. The prevalence of the issue is
analyzed and the causes and signs and symptoms established. The paper also explores Adverse
Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study sources data from it to establish a comparative approach of
what the study has attained to what other studies have established. Through and through, it is no
secret that the issue is one that holds serious consequences and that it needs coordinated and
strengthened attention from all stakeholders to ensure that it is put to rest. This paper also
identifies the long term effects of the trauma and recommends interventions that can be taken at a
young age and as an adult.
