Abstract
This research paper explores the issue of childhood trauma. The prevalence of the case is
analyzed, causes determined, and signs and symptoms established. The paper also explores
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) study and sources data to develop a comparative
approach of what the study has attained to what other studies have confirmed. Through and
through, it is no secret that the issue holds severe consequences and needs to be coordinated and
strengthened attention from all stakeholders to ensure that it is put to rest. This paper also
identifies the long term effects of the trauma and recommends interventions that can be taken at a
young age and as an adult.
