Question One
The first article is about the opportunism of political music culture in democratic Nigeria. The
authors seek to answer how musicians classify famous music classification. It specifically wants
to look into the political genre amongst the musicians in Nigeria. Musicians used "moments" in
music to draw attention to the beauty and attractiveness of nationality to gain fame. Are there
anything else to say about these? "occurrences? " Music representing national unity has grown in
popularity in countries with democratically elected governments. The review of the works of the
most famous musicians in Nigeria since 1999. They were in a position to reveal their competitive
nature. This has led to being innovative and has led to significant artists, and has led the adoption
of the multi-genre approaches to the most famous music production that is in a position to bring
the relevance to the diverse and multifaceted audiences. Several albums were released in 1999.
They show one artist that is prone to being able to include one motivational track and are in a
position to cater to the economic and credibility of the artist's issues found among the segments
of the population. As a result, defining an artist within a specific popular music genre becomes
difficult (Osiebe, 2016).
The second paper is the Solidarity and drug use in the electronic dance music scene. The
question seeks to address the House music, an electronic dance music genre that originated on
the streets of Chicago, specifically in the city's underground music scene. In recent years, it has
spread from small clubs to large outdoor gatherings known as "raves." It began with a target
audience of young adults aged 17 to 24, but as time passed, younger and older people became
addicted to the growing music trend. In many ways, the creativity and ideology of house music
are derived from disco. It represents disco's electronic elements, but it also recreates drug abuse
and sexuality issues. Some even call hard-core house discos (Kavanaugh & Anderson, 2008).

When disco first became popular in the early 1970s, disco clubs were noted as one of two places
where drugs were most commonly consumed over the years. Cocaine, in particular, became the
most popular in the late 1970s. Before disco took over popular music culture, drugs were usually
hidden from the outside world. It would be more challenging to obtain than simply attending a
nightclub and knowing the right people. However, as disco rose in popularity, so did drugs.
When the drug supply could not keep up with the increased demand, the more straightforward
solution appeared to use the "former main ingredient," cocaine. Drugs could be used for a variety
of reasons. The atmosphere of a dark room with laser lights of various bright colors circling it
creates a sense of memorization. And people seem to succumb to that euphoric feeling to the
point where they want to amp it up even more. Drug use occurs for various reasons, including a
person's consciousness and desire to try something new. According to the text, Andrew Weir
discussed his drug use and why society chooses to engage in drug use and alter their
consciousness. According to Weir, drug use occurs because "the desire to alter consciousness on
a regular basis is an innate, normal drive analogous to hunger or the sexual drive." This concept
piqued my interest because I've always associated drug use with alternating a conscious with a
negative label (Kavanaugh & Anderson, 2008).
The third article is the grove in the box: a technologically meditated inspiration in electronic
dance music. They argue that new technology can not only measure sound in a variety of new
ways but also create and simulate sound, as evidenced by videogames and films, among other
applications. Humans and nature are no longer the only sources of sound. The iPod and cell
phones, ubiquitous in today's digital world, show how sound has become more personal and
portable. Due to industrialization, the gasoline engine, and electronic sounds, new sounds have
entered the soundscape. All of the technology mentioned above would be impossible to
