Should Abortion Be Allowed?
Introduction
Society is usually divided between evil and good, wrong and right. Nevertheless, the
difference between these two perspectives is not normally self-evident or sometimes can be
taken lightheartedly. This paper will address one of the most polarizing subjects in society,
whether abortion ought to be allowed or not, and if so, on what basis. With this question posed,
individuals normally cover the entire strictness spectrum of either abortion condemning groups
or abortion supporting groups, advocate their stances regarding the arguments that they consider
concrete enough to win over their adversaries and win the debate. What are the questions to be
asked before judging abortion legality? This paper will address the moral status, embryology,
ethics, biology, and the ethical framework to procure an abortion. Procurement of abortion is
morally permissible and should be allowed constitutionally to give women the liberty of their
bodies.
(Borgmann & Weiss, 41) are abortion supporting individuals who defend the
procurement of abortion morally by concentrating on the key aspects of abortion. Their position
on the issue of abortion is pro-choice, pro-woman, pro-child, and pro-family. Some of their
arguments include the following;

Autonomy
Any grown woman is entitled to make her own decisions, and she must be ready to live
with the repercussions. Not the government, and nobody else has the right to force a woman to
incubate a child in her body if she does not want to (Borgmann & Weiss, 42). The choice of
continuing with a pregnancy is too intimate and too critical that only she can decide what to do
with her body. In day-to-day activities, women and men make decisions that impact their life
either positively or negatively. They choose to join the army, donating bone marrow or kidneys,
whether to decline to donate blood that could save a life, among other several decisions that
involve life and death situations. Only a minority questions the adults' autonomy to make certain
decisions, although some individuals end up criticizing the decisions made. Yet, abortion
condemning groups demand a different standard of governing women's choice on whether to
carry on with the abortion process.
Viability
The distinction between a human and a nonhuman can be based on viability. Before the
fetus reaches the age of several months, it can be considered nonviable, and this means that the
fetus cannot live by itself but apart from inside its mother's womb (Noonan, 126). To some
extent, its life relies largely on the mother's life. This dependency makes the fetus be denied
recognition as a human being. The opposing side may counter this by pointing out that with the
technology of artificial incubation, then the fetus can be viable at any given moment since it can
be removed and sustained. The hypothetical extreme here is linked to difficulty; there is
substantial elasticity to the viability idea. Mere life length cannot be the exact measure. Fetus
viability depends largely on its functional and anatomical development (Noonan, 126). The
fetus's size and weight may be used as a guidance to its development state rather than the age,
