sustain its place as a world leader. America's hegemony is threatened by other nations such as
China which threaten to take over as a world leader. Other nations are increasingly questioning
the interests America holds whenever it intervenes in their situations. Throughout the two texts,
the authors expose the hidden agendas and inspirations that informed America's choices and
actions in the past. The last chapters expose the interlinks between American Corporates, Wall
Streets, the pentagon and how all these forces have shaped the current states of affairs. There is
increased inequality, poverty, and the poor being left to fend for themselves (

taxpayer's monies continue to be spent on warfare instead of helping Americans and other global
