Firms have recognized that combining the advantages of the dual, ie. Lean Production
and Six Sigma methods permits them to make the most of the rewards of both approaches,
resulting in an organized and efficient strategy for addressing various types of problems
contributing to the effectiveness of operations and goods (Arnheiter, 2005). Lean Manufacturing
emphasizes repetitive monitoring, conformity assessment, and the analysis of times and activities
to reduce waste. In contrast, Six Sigma takes more digging and investigation to identify the
source of the problem. Lean and Six Sigma are valuable methods for the process of development,
creativity, and daily operational processes that incorporate the enterprise resource planning
system. To boost waste disposal costs in their processes, companies have embraced Lean
Production. Businesses that use Six Sigma have also discovered that by assigning tasks to
groups, the results can emerge after a study period (Salah et al., 2010).
Lean systems and Six Sigma have the same goal in mind. They both work to come up
with efficient systems and remove waste. However, the approaches towards achieving these
goals are different. In other words, they recognize the original cause of the problem contrarily.
That is the main difference between Lean and Six Sigma (Salah et al., 2010). Waste, according to
Lean professionals, is caused by needless measures in the manufacturing process that don't add
value to the business, while Six Sigma advocates claim waste is caused by variance inside the
system. Both of these evaluations are right; that is why the Lean and Six Sigma techniques are
always so beneficial in enhancing general business efficiency across an extensive variety of
industries. In reality, combining these two disciplines have turned out to be exceptionally
