Economic Impact of Obamacare
Over the past 20 years or so, America’s health care system has been in need of change
because of increased health issues among Americans. However, these are not the kind of changes
required to be enacted under the health care law because of America’s economy. The Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act “The Obamacare” has been praised to be one of the most
considerable pieces of social legislation. Since the late 1960’s, the health care system of America
have been having more than a few issues such as employment. However, the Obamacare is one
of the polarizing issues in the current history. Debate over Obamacare has been one of the
serious issues discussed in the modern healthcare system in America. Based on research, it is
clear that there are those in support of the Obamacare while others are not. In general,
Obamacare asserts federal power or control over health care financing and benefits. Also, the
Obamacare centralizes America’s healthcare choices in Washington and other few states in
America. This paper will review Obamacare and its effect on the economy and also discuss the
substitutes that would get America’s financial system progressing.
Since the Obamacare was enacted everyone in America had a different opinion based on

financials system. When the Affordable Care Act was being debated, people expected to see the
pandemic of unsteadiness. The law was criticized for its many benefits to the healthcare system.
The current administration of America argued that the law would improve the health care system
of America by eliminating health issues through cutting of healthcare costs. In general, the
Obamacare was expected to reduce figure of the uninsured people. However, according to
healthcare research carried out, it was evident that approximately seven million people lost their
coverage and approximately have gained health insurance as a result of the Obamacare. This is
an impact that will gradually develop and more questions will be directed to the new law
(Haveman, Jon and Micah 123).
It is clear that America is among the few states affected by several things. Obamacare is
one of the major factors that affect the financial system of the state. Obama care states that
employers with approximately 50 or more worker that work 30 hours should be covered by a
permitted health insurance policy. This means that people who own businesses will have an
additional cost as a result of Obamacare. This means that a good number of these employers will
have difficulties in bearing the costs. Also, most employers will reduce the number of hours
worked by their employees in order to avoid the Obamacare rule. In addition, most employees
will lose their jobs because the employers cannot manage their needs. Conversely, companies
will also be forced to increase the price of their products in order to meet the demands of their
employees. Therefore, it is clear that the Obamacare will cause uncertainty among business
owners, a factor that can badly affect businesses (Haveman, Jon and Micah 232).
Assumptions made by a Congressional Budget Office (CBO) states that the Obamacare
will result to two million fewer employees. In general, approximately 2 million Americans will
stop working, stop looking for jobs, or reduce their working hours as a result of the health care
