Part 1: Why does this artist make Art?
The one featured artist that interests me is Rachel Rossin. She is making arts because she
is “trying to find some home” (Rossin, 2021). Essentially, using the advanced technology,
Rachel Rossin, a New York artist, mimics the experience of being absorbed into painting. In
addition, she makes arts because she normally starts by working in a more conservative way,
painting weird images, which combine distorted, just-acknowledgeable landscape fragments and
still lives with swirls and splashes (Rossin, 2021). Rachel Rossin, through her self-taught in
game design and coding, then takes a picture of these works. She later digitally manipulates the
image to develop momentary, trippy film, which stimulates the experience of being occupied in
the paintings when viewed using a VR headset.
