another. There are some major steps in the process of communication which can be described with
the help of the following points:
The first part of the communication process is the sender. He/she is the person who
sends information to convey his/her message to another person.
Second element of the communication process is Message. It can be explained as
the ideas shared in the form of speech or symbols. A person may also share any
opinion, views, and attitudes as ideas.
The third step is Encoding which provides an appropriate manner to send the
message. Encoding is a very important element of the communication process and
it may be verbal or non-verbal.
The fourth element of the communication process is the Channel of
communication. It is very important to choose the correct medium of sending the
message. Communication channel includes various mediums of transferring
information such as speaking, writing, messages sent through emails, texts and
audio or video clips.
Another major part of the communication process is the Receiver who receives the
message and understands it properly to gain the desired motive behind it.
Receiver must have the ability to decode the message. Decoding is the main step of
the communication process. The receiver must be able to understand the message
otherwise the decoding of the message will be failed.
The last element is Feedback which is sent by the receiver to the sender. It ensures
that receiver has got the message and understood it properly.

Feedback plays an important part in communication because it tells both the source and
the receiver, how their message is being interpreted. It
makes communication meaningful. It is the end-result of an idea and
makes communication a continuous process.
