With the advancement of globalization and the global economy in recent years, market rivalry
has grown more intense. Modern businesses are concerned about their external and internal
environments, as well as their corporate social responsibility goals. They will be able to better
themselves as a result of this analysis. This essay will examine Google's external and internal
environment using the SWOT framework, MacDonald's using the PESTE framework, and the
impact of social responsibility on Fonterra's decision-making using the PESTE framework.

2. Google's SWOT analysis
Google is a global high-tech company based in the United States that specializes in internet
search, cloud computing, advertising technology, and other areas. It creates and sells a wide
range of internet-based goods and services. Its main source of revenue is advertising services. It
is now known as the biggest worldwide internet search engine, with billions of users, after
roughly two decades of growth. The SWOT framework is used to validate a company's
competitive strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats, so that
internal resources and the external environment may be linked together (Kurttila, M., Pesonen,
M., Kangas, J., & Kajanus, M. 2000).
• Strengths. The company's most powerful asset is its brand image. According to the most
valuable brand list, Google was named the most valuable brand in the world last year, with a
40% increase in value. In recent years, Google has placed at the top of the brand rankings. It
manages to enhance itself on a regular basis in order to retain its brand value. Google X lab, for
example, attempted to utilize a fire balloon to offer Wi-Fi connectivity to distant regions. Its
brand value has been inspired by such a creative concept. Google Project Glass made significant
progress last year (Friesner, T. 2011). In addition, Google would push more innovative goods for
the business sector and its customers, demonstrating the worth of its brand. The second strength
is its customer-centric service, which is the most compelling reason for Google users to choose
it. Its search results are not biased since it refuses to pay for rankings and focuses on providing
