This journal is one of the first places I turned to when looking for ideas for the capstone project and found many that would be appropriate for the neuro floor. I would choose to submit my capstone finding to this journal as it does reach a large number of nurses that work with a population of patients that would benefit from dysphagia screen. This journal provides easy access and instructions to those who are looking to submit their own work (AANN, 2021a). In addition to the Neuro Journal, I feel that the Neuroscience Nursing Annual Conference would be an excellent platform to discuss the details of my capstone project. While the dysphagia screen is required for all stroke patients, it is appropriate for many of the patients that are seen on a neuro floor. The annual conference offers an opportunity to introduce educational topics for continuing education (CE) or non-CE through a symposium program (AANN, 2021b). Change theory and the ability to move the research project objectives along the way is critical to identifying success. The ability to utilize outcomes and results of the research is supportive to the outcomes of the evidence-based practice and change practice for alternative approaches to disease state management and historical approaches to care and delivery of care for those afflicted with type 2 diabetes. Evidence-based practice allows for the implementation and sustainability of combining new aspects of healthcare delivery and historical disease state management of type-2 diabetes to co-exist. This will set the platform for new approaches with education and focus on preventative measures for managing type-2 diabetes. Presenting outcomes and findings is essential to the research and outcomes of the research. In order to disseminate the research and outcomes it is important to identify specific venues and professional platforms to ensure the message is communicated appropriately. These options are closely related however they also have the ability for broad exposure that will assist in the ability to present the findings for further research as well. Writing an article or even a journal is an excellent method of disseminating the information derived from the evidence-based practice.
