There is various screening for diabetes that can ensure that patients are getting
adequate care and in health promotion. Various diabetes screening tests are considered
essential in ensuring that there is the determination of the care that is to be provided to the
patients. one of these tests includes the Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG) test (Ho-Pham et al.,
2017). The test is essential since it illustrates the raised blood glucose levels. Another
necessary test is the 75g-oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), which is considered one of the
crucial tests in screening this disease (Kandauda et al., 2017). These tests are considered
essential for determining the healthcare that is to be provided for diabetic patients since they
are performed faster, easier, they are cheaper and convenient for diabetic patients.
A positive diabetes test is conformed on an alternate day, and fasting for eight hours is
usually considered before undertaking the screening. Through these tests, diabetic and non-
diabetic patients are determined, hence necessitating taking actions for diabetic patients.
Importantly, screening is essential in ensuring that there is identification of asymptomatic
patients and that there is a definitive diagnosis for individuals who test positive. Positive
