Organizational Restructuring Memo
Restructuring and change is not always an easy nor fun thing to do because people are set
in their ways. Companies at some point brainstorm amongst their leadership and evaluate how to
improve business for their and employees and profit gain. Evaluations come in general, in
increments of five years at a time to see what has worked or not worked in the past and go from
there. You have to adjust accordingly because there may be a higher or lower demand.
Recommend the Best Way to Implement the Change
Effective planning and the proper implementation are needed for a restructuring sales
team to run smoothly. In doing so it is important to understand how to develop an
implementation plan. Developing a training program is the best way to implement changes to
explain the different roles of the new team structures. The district managers and divisional vice
presidents will attend. Changes in roles and structure are the main reason for this training. New
structure dictates that reporting is now to the regional directors where it was the divisional
managers reported to the divisional vice presidents. It is beneficial to have a regional director
position because it establishes a need for training and communicate effectively.
The workflow in the company will run efficiently and increase performance by
understanding all personnel roles. Implementations of planning specific goals are set after
training. These goals will be used as a measuring tool to evaluate progress and ensure the
implementation of restructuring is on the right track. By using these goals it will be easier to
know if and when the implementation is off track. It is easy to make adjustments and use
corrective measures to ensure the implementation is effective if this happens.
