Flowchart Improvement Process
The as-is process is the state of a business process within a specific business
organization. In business, an as-is process has all the parts of the business which have a
description, list of stages, and the responsibilities as well as exceptions (Carter, 2014).
Shareholders should be accessed because they have an essential role in the business process in
coming up with the as-is process. Additionally, the managers who have an understanding of the
process have to access procedures even though they are not involved in the daily operations of
the business. The as-is process chart is mainly used in documenting the process in which
business activities are undertaken within a specific business organization (Jacobs, & Chase,
2014). This executive summary will focus on a law enforcement department within an
organization.
Metrics and Current Process
The process has two routes in general. One stage moves from unknown stage to the
interview stage. The process begins with the interrogation phase, which determines if the
interview has any information about the law problems within the given organization. The second
step is the collection stage where important information is collected about the issue. The next
step is where the weakness of the effects are found, which is the vulnerability stage. Finally,
more importantly, is the reporting stage where information from earlier stages is stated. Moving
from other routes are issues to assess the threats. After this, follows the determination of the
business effects. Presented at this stage, is the information from the first route is. Joined together
are the two routes and the final solution presented as a known issue. The flowchart of the as-is
process of the law enforcement department is below.
