Introduction paragraph
People assume that intelligence or ability, is the key to success leaving people helpless, fearing
to face their challenges and unwilling to correct their shortcomings. Desire to reach our goal are
the starting point of our achievements. People think that success is a natural aptitude, but the
truth is that our practices, mentality and counselor contribute a lot to our achievement. Great
achievement is reached through hard work which is very painful and demanding.
On the way to greatness, we will always encounter challenges; therefore, our mindset often
determines how we handle such challenges and how great we are in the future. There’s need to
remain focused on learning new strategies to handle different situation, much effort and
persistence.

Intelligence increases one's chances of success because of understanding people's actions,
motivations, and feelings. Therefore, in the quest for greatness, we need to acquire our
intelligence. Dweck says, "in the seventh grade, however, Jonathan suddenly lost interest in
school, refusing to do homework or study for tests" (1). People with high intelligence are
destined for greatness and are likely to outperform their counterparts. Jonathan was intelligent
realizes that his potential in his special gift which was also a key to his success. This shows that
Superior intelligence and capability is not the only key to success.
Challenges should gear us to significant levels to exploit our potential for greatness. According

great, one should employ the best strategies for solving emerging problems. For instance, the
child who raise his hand and said that he loved challenging test showed his potential and
willingness to work hard thus motivating others to try out challenging tests.
When we look back at our society, the greatness of individual results from hard work regardless
that you are talented or not. Hard work significantly increases the chances of personal
excellence. For instance, buffett, he’s famously known for being disciplined and spending hours
studying financial statements for investment with potential targets thus a natural ability has
nothing to do with your successful achievements. Success is demanding because Buffett has to
spend hours on financial statement for his greatness.

the rule holds: he'd had nine years of intensive study" (1). There is no substitute for hard work to
