Directions for "Walk Through Geologic Time" assignment.Assignment for each student: This is a “picture based” look at Earth's Geologic History from your perspective. Each of you will create a different look back through Earth’s history focusing on your own interests. Start by looking through Chapter-13 and other sources that you may find on the web. Select ten different major events in the Earth's Geologic History that you find particularly interesting. Copy an image or draw it yourself (for maximum points see suggestions below), one for each of the events selected using a separate 8.5 x 11-inch paper for each. Then write a short paragraph describing the event, the age and why/what you personally found interesting about the event. You will have ten separate pieces of paper in the end with a drawing and a write up on each. Be sure to include the age of when the event occurred AND the footage at which your figure will be placed on the timeline, BEING SURE TO INCLUDE ALL CALCULATIONS!Make a Black and White Xerox copy of each page (this should include the age and footage).
