1 Upon reading these articles, I am perplexed that students with disabilities cannot access over eighty percent of schools in the city due to lack of elevators and wheelchair ramps (Chapman, 2018). The legitimate expectation is that schools and government authorities’ should provide a conducive learning environment for all students, including students with disabilities. Besides, these bodies should be at the front line in promoting the rights of people with disabilities. From the readings, it is evident that people with special needs are disregarded as they cannot access the majority of the schools.
