Police departments and their history have been influenced by discrimination
in different areas. Discrimination was not only observed on roads, organizations,
institutes, offices, hospitals but police stations were also involved in discriminating
against people because of many reasons. Only in the United States, long history of
discrimination was quite open against minorities. In police departments,
discrimination was quite common in hiring processes, in assigning tasks to police
officers, and above all promotions were given with discrimination.
