Different people develop extreme phobia because they face some unexpected
situations in their lives. I still remember one of my university friends who used to be
so scared of some hidden things. Most of the time, my male teachers wanted to talk to
her during query sessions to ask her questions. She was very intelligent and she could
be so quick while answering the questions. However, she used to hesitate while
answering the questions. My head of the department noticed her behavior and made
her GR (Girls’ representative) with an intention to increase her confidence. She after
refusing a lot of times, became GR.
Now, she showed her god interactions with girls whereas, she shed to hesitate while
talking to the boys. I made her my friend. I asked her the reason for her phobia. She
disclosed her incident. She told me that once she was on her night walk with her
mother. Suddenly a motorbike stopped beside her and one of the boys pinched her at
her back. She felt extremely scared at that time. She went home and cried. From that
day, her psychology about men got so badly disturbed. She used to think that all the
men are the same. She thought that men wanted to touch women without permission
and similar vulgar thoughts filled her with a phobia for men. So, it proved that phobia
is sometimes not natural but can be developed due to unexpected situations.
Phobia is most extreme and takes a lot of time to get eradicated. Phobia is associated
not only with our thoughts but with our psychology directly. It would not be
exaggerated to say that changing someone’s psychology needs proper hard work and a
lot of timings. Phobia is always extreme and more than fear which can be for any
particular object, person, situation, or moment.
Phobia can be as worst as killing a person. For example, a person who can not tolerate
standing on height can suffer from a heart attack if to make stand on height
deliberately or forcefully. This heart attack can be a reason for his death. Therefore, a

person who has a phobia for any particular thing should be given special attention to
treat his phobia rather than being forceful with him. On the other hand, if a person can
not get out of his fears or phobia for any particular thing then it is better to protect him
to face his fears. As there is no need to ask that person to face his fear forcefully.
However, proper procedures or strategies can be followed to resolve the issue of
phobia.
A lot of researchers have classified phobia as one of the disorders of anxiety. The
reason is that most of the sufferers of phobia show anxiety as the chief symptom.
Phobia basically disturbs our emotions and makes our response with extreme
emotions for some facts that can be minor for others. It is quite clear that phobia takes
place and hence produced by any unexpected original threatening situation. This is
then transferred to any other situation with maximum similarities even when the
previous fear is faded or forgotten.
Most of the people show their phobia of water. No doubt that water in the sea or
ocean is of extreme depth. Furthermore, it makes a person die even when he is a good
swimmer to push him with great speed. This fact of water fills someone with water
phobia even from his early age. Furthermore, this water phobia can be based on any
forgotten experience of a child who once faced a situation of almost drowning in a
small swimming pool. This person tries to stay away from the water in his future
which is a response to his thoughts. The anxiety takes place when a person thinks of
facing the same situation of phobia. To overcome this kind of situation, it is better to
treat that person starting from a very small amount of water rather than asking him to
swim to overcome his fear.
Nowadays, social phobia is the most common. Social phobia takes place when a
person feels difficulty in talking to a person. Moreover, the digital world is providing
