Introduction
Over the past decade, the e-commerce market has grown enormously, as more
corporations have recognized the advantages. The key advantages of e-commerce include that
product lead time and rising customer base. These advantages have contributed to sales growth
for organizations that have been effectively active in e-business. Also, the concept of having
several ways of shopping is liked by customers (Efraim, Carol & Gregory 244). The e-commerce
world contains several practical operations that guarantee customer order management and
distribution. By scanning, processing, and comparing product characteristics, the device program
requires to be able to handle consumer orders. Other things that need to be reviewed include
inventory, deposits, shipping dates, credit card number identification, customer check-out, and
payment processing. Such operations must be carried out in real-time, so the hardware and
software must run efficiently and synchronously to fulfill the specifications for processing. The
whole structure can be outsourced in-house or partially to third-party firms.
A summary of the hardware, software, network, and database modules, as defined in the
diagram used for conceptual purposes for e-commerce sites such as Footy Wear, will be given in
the Footy Wear scenario presented in this paper. These modules would consist of the authenticity
of the identification of the customer, request and transaction handling, inventory management, as
well as the behavior of the logged customer that must be registered for payment and advertising

reasons. The scenario would also set out and address the functions that would be built mainly in-
house and those that would be outsourced to a web hosting or business development.
Footy Wear: A Fictional E-commerce Site
Footy Wear a medium store that deals in women's accessories discounts. It is being in
business and has been able to remain in service for over five years. While profit margins have
gradually improved over the last two years, Footy Wear has seen a five percent decrease in sales
over the last two years. However, despite its gradual drop in revenue, Footy Wear has planned to
increase its client base to remain competitive. Specifically, from the internet, there has been a
rise in competition due to the stagnant economy. Footy Wear aims to increase its consumer reach
and profits by being a more successful part of the web. Hence, it intends to do this by being more
interested in the platform of social networks and, most specifically, by planning and developing
an e-commerce platform or online shop. While for the last ten years, Footy Wear has maintained
its web portal that has primarily been used for information purposes only, to inform its
employees updated and to notify prospective consumers about the items they provide. It does not
have the power to accept orders over the phone. The creation of an e-commerce platform or
online store would make it easier for them to do so.
Through opening or developing an online page, Footy Wear could or may increase the
consumer base and profits. Although not in the early stages, such a strategic change will
significantly decrease costs around the board in fields such as staffing, manufacturing,
warehousing, and so on. Footy Wear knows that the initial expense of such an increase and
recognizes that it would be worth the ultimate investment to grow the web-shop or online market
to bring it into the contemporary era.
