History of Social Transformation
Contribution of diversity in views to the transformation of America
Many countries around the globe have diversity in views. Likewise is the America that
appreciates assortment in ideas. These diversified views were due to the liberal nature of
America, in which each individual was allowed to express his/her views (An Exchange of Ideas
Chapter 2). Further, American Jezebel text displays the liberty in America that gives information
regarding the origin of religious freedom, equal rights, and freedom of speech (Eve Plante n.p.).
So, American society was transformed by these factors. Additionally, diversified ideas empower
the American leader to investigate and provide a continuous solution to the issues. Hence, it is
evident that diversity in views contributed in many unprecedented events in the history of
America such as freedom of speech, the Stamp Act, and independence that promoted an
amplified change in the society of America.
American Jezebel
First of all, the transformation of American society was due to diversified views. For
instance, the fundamental rights of people were denied by American society, such as religious
freedom and freedom of speech (Eve Plante n.p.). However, women were subjugated in
American society and were rated as second class citizens because they were not allowed to
present their views on anything. If any woman committed this mistake, she was to be charged by
the authority. For example, Anne Hutchinson presented her views in front of men; hence, the

magistrate charged her for antinomianism. However, the struggle of Anne Hutchinson provided a
platform for the modern woman to get her rights in the society of America.
Stamp Act
Further, the freedom of print media was due to the diversity of views. With the
implementation of the Stamp Act, print media became a puppet in the hand of the British
government. For instance, the American was to seek approval before publishing any document.
Hence, the Stamp Act imposed a security check on the print media of America (Klepeis, A. n.p.).
It led the Americans to think that the Stamp Act is not better for society. As a result, the
Americans revolted against the Stamp Act and repealed it.
Declaration of Independence
Lastly, America got independence due to diversified views in society. America declared
its independence from the British on the 4th of July, 1776 (Office of the Historian n.p.). On the
day of America's independence, every citizen was equally recognized. As a result, freedom of
speech and religious freedom was given to the people. It can be observed that Americans without
being convicted earlier had the freedom to express their thoughts. There were some cons in
American society after independence such as slavery and women's rights. However, the Thirteen
Amendment of the US Constitution abolished slavery on April 08, 1864 (History n.p.). Further,
women struggled to get the right to vote that would solve their social, political, and financial
problems. Hence, they got the right to vote in 1920 by congress. Therefore, it shows the diversity
of views in American society.
Conclusion
To conclude, the transformation of society became possible due to diversity in views in
society. It empowered the citizens to share and express their views freely on any issue.
