Transferable Skills Reflection
Completion of this project has helped substantially in enabling me to gain diverse
knowledge on various transferable skills. The skills entail but are not limited to effective
leadership enhanced through teamwork. Teamwork has proven beneficial in our project
development as it has helped team members to work together collectively towards efficiently and
effectively complete the project. Through teamwork, the available resources were well utilized,
thus ensuring less time towards completing the project. I have also gained problem-solving skills
that entailed identifying the issues, contributing to the problem, and the solutions essential for
addressing such issues. The latter helped address the early childhood concerns, the ethical
principles associated with it, and the strategies that family members should take towards
enhancing their children’s well-being through their early childhood education (Heikka &
Suhonen, 2019).
The transferable skills gained apply to my career as a teacher. I would embrace good
leadership towards ensuring that positive interactions and relationships are created between the
children and the teaching staff towards addressing any challenges in their educational settings. I
will also emphasize the importance of teamwork amongst the teaching staff and children to
ensure that children are given opportunities to work collectively and collaborate (Heikka &
Suhonen, 2019). The practice would substantially boost their confidence and help them to
address issues creatively.
My future goals regarding leadership and teamwork skills, especially in my career field,
entail establishing constructive feedback which aims at facilitating growth and positive
development in early childhood education. I also aim to ensure that the leadership system
devised fully adapts to changes likely to impact children’s well-being by solving the perceived
